The Potter’s Yard is home to Patricia Howard Pottery. Here the traditional and timeless crafts of pottery and beeswax candle making are still taught and practiced as they were eight centuries ago by William Marshal’s monks.

By arrangement, we offer one-day and residential workshops in both crafts. We also sell our distinctive pots and tableware and make bespoke tile panels to commission.

Around the ‘bawn’ – an old Norman word for ‘courtyard’, the traditional South Wexford dormer farmhouse is flanked by the pottery and showroom on one side, and the self-catering stable apartment on the other. Hens have the run of the paddock and the orchard, overseen by our tortoiseshell cat, Biscuit.
